The Gerbert d’Aurillac School opened its doors in September 2021. It is a non-profit, bilingual Montessori primary school located in Boulogne-Billancourt, in a renovated building surrounded by green spaces and a vegetable garden.
The school offers workshops in art, music, gardening, and optional faith education, as part of a broader approach to environmental awareness and sustainable development.
With a tuition model based on household income, the school enables a diverse range of families to access high-quality education. Its teaching approach, now widely recognised, fosters autonomy, self-confidence, and respect for others.

With the support of its scientific committee, Green Sanctuaries identifies forests with high biodiversity that are directly threatened, and secures them by buying them or contracting long-term leases.

World Vision France is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) working for the most vulnerable children. As a member of the international World Vision network (present in 100 countries), the NGO works both in humanitarian emergencies and on long-term development projects, in particular through child sponsorship.
Its holistic approach takes into account the vital needs of children (water, health, food, education) as well as the local social and economic dynamics in which they grow up (fight against child marriage, violence) and of course their immediate natural environment.
Reforesting without planting trees... it works!
The association is deploying an incredible approach: Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR) of deforested and degraded areas. This simple, effective method has been used to restore millions of hectares. It involves training farmers to regenerate forests from the stumps and living root systems in the soil. It is particularly useful in arid climates, where it is far more effective than planting trees in revitalising degraded land.
The forests bring back water, freshness, better harvests and therefore resources enabling families to bring up their children in better conditions. Listen to Tony Rinaud, from the World Vision office in Australia, winner of the 2018 Alternative Nobel Prize, who developed this approach 30 years ago in Niger... Formidable, isn't it? |
